Runner of the Week, while
JoAnna Cornette (Belhaven) earned
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Bailey Gassmann, Asbury
Sophomore | Churchville, PA
Bailey Gassmann earned top honors at the Midway Invitational, winning the 6K race with an impressive time of 25:08.2. Competing against 50 runners from seven schools, the sophomore standout secured the individual title, helping Asbury's to a team title, eight points ahead of host, Midway.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – JoAnna Cornette, Belhaven
Freshman | Greensburg, LA
JoAnna Cornette led the way for Belhaven at the Rhodes Invitational, finishing with the top time for the team. The freshman crossed the line in 28:32.70 in the 6K event, placing 114th out of 184 competitors.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
