Runner of the Week, while
Addison Goodwin (Maryville) earned
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Lucie Demers, Covenant
Freshman | Rogers, Ark.
Covenant freshman Lucie Demers continued her impressive debut season with an 11th-place finish out of 34 runners at the Chattanooga Intercollegiate. Demers led the Scots with a 6k time of 23:58.14, helping Covenant secure a second-place team finish in the four-team field.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Addison Goodwin, Maryville
Freshman | Albertville, Ala.
Maryville’s Addison Goodwin turned in a standout performance at the South Region Showdown, clocking a personal-best 6k time of 25:07.5 to place 74th in a deep 200-runner field that featured competitors from all NCAA divisions as well as NAIA and JUCO programs. Her time now ranks eighth all-time on Maryville’s 6k top performers list and contributed to the Scots’ best team average (26:49) since 2019.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
