Robel Teshome (LaGrange) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer
Offensive Player of the Week, while
Eli Honeycutt (Covenant) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Jaden Jenkins (Huntingdon) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.

Robel Teshome showcased his scoring ability this week, netting two goals in two games for LaGrange. His consistent offensive presence helped propel the Panthers' attack and was key to their competitive performances against Berry and William Peace.

Eli Honeycutt was a brick wall in goal for Covenant, keeping two clean sheets in back-to-back 1-0 victories against Berry and Emory. Honeycutt made 12 saves across both games, including a career-high seven saves in the win over Emory.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
