Marilyn Bates (Agnes Scott) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Soccer
Offensive Player of the Week, while
Julianne Wilson (Belhaven) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Nneka Udeh (Belhaven) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.

Marilyn Bates delivered a standout performance, leading Agnes Scott to their first win of the season. Bates netted both goals in the Scotties' 2-1 victory over Hollins University. With six points on the season, Bates has scored three goals from five shots on target, with nearly 50% of her attempts (5 of 11) on frame this season, making her a key player in the Scotties’ attack.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Julianne Wilson, Belhaven

Julianne Wilson was a wall in goal for Belhaven during their 3-0 week. She made a career-high 11 saves in a shutout win over regionally-ranked Sewanee, preserving the clean sheet in her only start of the week.

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
