Week 5: CCS Women’s Basketball Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (December 8, 2025) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its Women’s Basketball Players of the Week.
 
Katelyn Coleman (Belhaven) was named Player of the Week, while teammate, Kylie Watkins (Piedmont) earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Katelyn Coleman, Belhaven

Belhaven senior forward Katelyn Coleman delivered a standout week on both ends of the floor, highlighted by a career-high 27 points in an overtime battle with Millsaps. She followed that performance with a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double in the Blazers’ win over Sewanee. Coleman finished the week with 46 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK– Kylie Watkins, Piedmont

Piedmont freshman forward Kylie Watkins continued her strong debut season, leading the Lions with 17 points in their matchup against LaGrange. Watkins added six rebounds, four steals, four assists, and two blocks in the contest.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
