Eagles Take 2-0 Win at Bluffton; Redpath Continues Goal Streak

STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
BLUFFTON, Ohio.--- The Asbury men's soccer team (2-1-0, 0-0-0 CCS) won its second consecutive match this week, shutting out Bluffton University (1-2-0, 0-0 HCAC), 2-0, behind senior captain Crosby Short's clean sheet in front of goal. 

AU freshman marketing major Eli Redpath continued his scoring streak, collecting his third goal in the first three matches of the year. Redpath opened the scoring after a scoreless first half in the 58th minute. 

Sophomore finance major Matthew McKenzie curved a long ball into the top right corner of the goal in the 87th minute of the match to provide insurance, 2-0. The goal was McKenzie's first of his career. 

Short collected a career-high 10 saves in the match to record his and Asbury's first clean sheet of the season. Bluffton got off 23 shots, nine more than Asbury, but put the same amount as AU on goal at 10 shots on goal. 

The match was tight throughout with 31 total fouls, AU leading barely with 16 fouls. Buffton had seven corner opportunities, Asbury with six corners.
