ATLANTA, Ga. (September 23, 2025) –
Hannah Muncie (Asbury) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Soccer
Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate,
Peyton Steiniger (Asbury) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Alexis Whiting (Belhaven) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Hannah Muncie, Asbury
Forward | Senior | Lexington, Ky.
Asbury senior forward Hannah Muncie continued her strong start to the season, scoring twice in a conference win over Huntingdon. With the performance, Muncie reached 22 career goals and now leads the CCS with five goals on the year. She finished the week with two goals on seven shots, including five on target, for a total of four points.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Peyton Steiniger, Asbury
Goalkeeper | Sophomore | Middletown, Ohio
Asbury sophomore goalkeeper Peyton Steiniger anchored the Eagles’ defense across two matches, recording 10 saves while allowing just one goal. Steiniger posted a six-save effort against Mount St. Joseph and followed with a clean sheet in a CCS win over Huntingdon.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Alexis Whiting, Belhaven
Forward | Freshman | Mandeville, La.
Belhaven freshman forward Alexis Whiting made an immediate impact, recording a hat trick in just 26 minutes of play during a 9-0 victory over Tougaloo. Whiting tallied the match winner and finished the week with three goals, six points, and five shots, including three on goal.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
