ATLANTA, Ga. (September 30, 2025) –
Lucas Duke (LaGrange) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer
Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate,
Raul Rivero (LaGrange) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Oumar Kamara (Maryville) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Lucas Duke, LaGrange
Forward | Senior | Dexter, Ga.
LaGrange senior forward Lucas Duke played a key role in the Panthers’ 1-0-1 week, recording a goal and two assists. Duke assisted on the equalizer in a 1-1 draw against Belhaven before scoring the game-winner off a rebound in a 2-1 victory over Millsaps.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Raul Rivero, LaGrange
Defender | Freshman | Duluth, Ga.
Freshman defender Raul Rivero anchored LaGrange’s back line, playing all 180 minutes across the Panthers’ two matches. Rivero helped limit opponents to just two goals on the week, holding Belhaven and Millsaps to a combined 1.00 goals against average.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Oumar Kamara, Maryville
Forward | Freshman | Augusta, Ga.
Maryville freshman forward Oumar Kamara provided a spark in the Scots’ attack, recording his second collegiate goal to help secure a 2-0 conference win over Piedmont. Kamara totaled 80 minutes across matches against Piedmont and Berry, leading the Scots to a 2-0 record on the week.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
