ATLANTA, Ga. (October 5, 2026) – Aubrianna Gerdes (Covenant) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week, while Henley Gentry (Covenant) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
Rebecca Miranda (LaGrange) was selected as Setter of the Week, alongside Lillian Gaskins (Piedmont) who was tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Aubrianna Gerdes, Covenant
Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist  |  Sophomore  |  Windsor, Colo.
 
Gerdes led Covenant offensively with 30 kills while hitting .333 and also contributed 15 digs on the defensive end across the week leading the Scots to a win over Huntingdon. She highlighted her performance with a career-high 18 kills against Berry.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Henley Gentry, Covenant
Defensive Specialist/Libero |  Sophomore  |  Arlington, Texas.
 
Gentry anchored Covenant’s back row with 39 digs across two matches. She recorded 22 digs in the Scots’ sweep of Huntingdon on Saturday, helping lead the defensive effort in the conference victory.
 
SETTER OF THE WEEK – Rebecca Miranda, LaGrange
Setter  |  Junior  |  Snellville, Ga.
 
Miranda helped direct LaGrange to a pair of CCS victories over Huntingdon and Asbury, averaging 4.78 assists per set across three matches. Her work running the offense helped the Panthers complete a 2-1 week.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Lillian Gaskins, Piedmont

Gaskins totaled 38 kills across three matches as Piedmont went 2-1 on the week. She led all players with 16 kills in the Lions’ victory over Agnes Scott, helping Piedmont secure its first conference win of the season.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
