ATLANTA, Ga. (October 1, 2024) – Ellie Schuld (Maryville) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Sydney Mahr (Maryville) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Molly Fitzpatrick (Piedmont) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ellie Schuld, Maryville

Ellie Schuld had an outstanding week, helping Maryville to a 1-0-1 record this past week with two goals and one assist. Schuld opened her scoring account for the season in the 28th minute of a 1-1 draw at Berry, netting the Scots' lone goal. She followed that performance with another goal and an assist in Maryville’s commanding 4-1 victory over Belhaven, kicking off CCS play in style. Schuld placed all three of her shots on target, with two finding the back of the net.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sydney Mahr, Maryville

Senior goalkeeper Sydney Mahr anchored Maryville to a 1-0-1 record this past week, allowing just one goal in each match. The senior goalkeeper made nine total saves while facing 20 shots.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Molly Fitzpatrick, Piedmont

Molly Fitzpatrick made a massive impact in Piedmont's dominant 10-0 win over Wesleyan, contributing two goals and two assists.
