Week 5: CCS Men’s Golfers of the Week
ATLANTA, Ga. (October 15, 2025) - Cole Humphrey (Huntingdon) was named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Golfer of the Week, while Braden Kiley (Piedmont) earned this week’s Men’s Golf Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.
 
GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Cole Humphrey, Huntingdon

Huntingdon junior Cole Humphrey delivered an outstanding performance at the Tartan Invitational, finishing second individually in a highly competitive 87-player field. Humphrey posted rounds of 74 (+2), 73 (+1), and 71 (–1) for a three-round total of 218 (+2). His consistent play helped lead the No. 6-ranked Hawks to a team championship, as Huntingdon outpaced 10 nationally ranked opponents, including six ranked inside the Top 10.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Braden Kiley, Piedmont
Freshman  |  Bedford, N.H.
 
Piedmont freshman Braden Kiley continued his steady debut season with a strong showing at the Golfweek October Classic in Sandestin, Fla. Kiley carded rounds of 72, 76, and 74 for a three-day total of 222 (+9), finishing tied for 51st in a 120-player field. His efforts helped the Lions to a ninth-place team finish in a deep 24-team event.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
