Player of the Week, while
Katherine Nova (Asbury) earned this week’s Women’s Tennis
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
The duo,
Jordan Ballard and
Sarah Row (Piedmont) was named
Women’s Doubles Team of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ariadna Zegarra, Asbury
Junior | Lima, Peru
Zegarra was instrumental in Asbury’s success, securing wins in both No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles against Belhaven and Millsaps. The junior business administration major played a key role in the Eagles' 4-1 start to the season and helped Asbury earn its first-ever CCS women’s tennis victory.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Katherine Nova, Asbury
Freshman | Lexington, Ky.
Nova continued her dominant start to the season, playing a key role in Asbury's undefeated week. The freshman secured two commanding singles victories at No. 1, dropping just one game across both matches. She also partnered in No. 1 doubles wins over Belhaven and Millsaps, keeping her perfect singles record intact and helping Asbury improve to 4-1 overall.
DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – Jordan Ballard/Sarah Row, Piedmont
Junior/Junior | Canton, Ga./ Marietta, Ga.
Ballard and Row formed a dominant duo for Piedmont, going 2-0 in doubles play for the week. The pair claimed a 6-2 victory over Huntingdon's top duo and followed up with a flawless 6-0 win over Transylvania’s No. 2 team.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
