ATLANTA, Ga. (October 3, 2023) – Whitt Tisdale (Covenant) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Andrew Cole (LaGrange) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Daniel Wallis (Covenant) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Whitt Tisdale, Covenant

Whitt Tisdale was a huge part of Covenant's wins this week over Birmingham Southern and LaGrange this week. In a 3-1 win at Birmingham-Southern, Tisdale scored two goals in just 20 minutes off the bench. On Saturday, Tisdale scored one goal and had one assist in a 2-0 Homecoming win over LaGrange. Over two games he had 10 shots. For the week, he had three goals and one assist.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Andrew Cole, LaGrange

Cole helped the Panthers to a 1-1 record last week in contests against Covenant and Huntingdon. He finished the week with six saves and has a .755 save percentage on the year.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Daniel Wallis, Covenant

Daniel Wallis was a key piece in defense for the Scots in their 3-1 win at Birmingham Southern and a 2-0 win over LaGrange. Against BSC, Wallis played all 90 minutes and had an assist. In the game against LaGrange, Wallis helped the Scots keep a clean sheet and hold the Panthers to just three shots on goal.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Berea College, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports.
