ATLANTA, Ga. (October 8, 2024) – Paige Kluba (Piedmont) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, Sydney Mahr (Maryville) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Mia Ganote (Belhaven) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Paige Kluba, Piedmont

Paige Kluba had a standout week, accumulating six points and playing a pivotal role in leading the Lions to two conference victories. In a dominant 3-0 win over Agnes Scott, she assisted on the first two goals before scoring the third herself. The junior forward also opened the scoring in Piedmont's 3-1 triumph against Huntingdon.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sydney Mahr, Maryville

Sydney Mahr anchored the defense for Maryville with two impressive performances this week. She recorded six saves in a hard-fought win against Covenant and continued her strong form with two additional saves in a victory over Wesleyan.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Mia Ganote, Belhaven

Mia Ganote made an immediate impact in her debut week, scoring the first goal of her collegiate career and providing her first assist in a convincing 3-0 win over LaGrange. Her goal, which proved to be the match-winner, highlighted her potential as a vital contributor to the Belhaven offense.
