Week 10: CCS Women’s Basketball Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (January 20, 2025) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its Women’s Basketball Players of the Week.

Andelin Hill (Piedmont) was named Player of the Week, while Emily Sizemore (Asbury) earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK –  Andelin Hill, Piedmont

Senior forward Andelin Hill had an exceptional week, averaging 23.0 points, 15.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game to lead Piedmont to wins over LaGrange and Belhaven.  Across the two games, Hill shot an efficient 61% from the field (17-of-28). Hill set a career-high with 24 points, adding 15 rebounds and three blocks in the victory against LaGrange. She followed up with 22 points, 13 rebounds, and two assists in the win over Belhaven.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK– Emily Sizemore, Asbury

Emily Sizemore continued her stellar debut season, averaging 15.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game across three contests. Sizemore totaled 46 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, and six steals as Asbury swept their conference road week to improve to 3-1 in CCS play with wins over Maryville, LaGrange, and Huntingdon.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
