Week 8: CCS Women’s Soccer Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (October 21, 2025) – AnnaLi Weekley (Covenant) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while teammate, Bronwyn Kickasola (Covenant) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Kinsey Carter (Belhaven) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – AnnaLi Weekley, Covenant

Covenant sophomore forward AnnaLi Weekley played a key role in the Scots’ offensive success, recording one goal and four assists across two home victories over Asbury and Wesleyan.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Bronwyn Kickasola, Covenant

Covenant junior goalkeeper Bronwyn Kickasola anchored the Scots’ defense in a dominant week, earning a clean sheet with five saves in a 2-0 win over Asbury. She also contributed 45 scoreless minutes in an 8-0 shutout of Wesleyan, helping Covenant secure back-to-back home victories without conceding a goal.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Kinsey Carter, Belhaven

Belhaven freshman forward Kinsey Carter made a statement performance in the Blazers’ 3-0 victory over Millsaps, scoring the first two goals of her collegiate career. The two-goal effort marked Carter’s first multi-goal match.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
