ATLANTA, Ga. (March 10, 2025) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Abigail Moffat (Asbury) was named
Player of the Week, while
Taylor Spivey (Piedmont) earned
Pitcher of the Week honors.
Mandi Peretti (Piedmont) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Abigail Moffat, Asbury

Moffat delivered another standout week for the Eagles, helping Asbury improve to a 5-3 overall record and a 2-2 mark for the week. The senior shortstop batted .500 (5-for-10) while launching three home runs, scoring six runs, and adding two doubles and six RBI. Moffat leads Asbury with a .455 batting average, ranking sixth in the CCS.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Taylor Spivey, Piedmont
Pitcher | Sophomore | Jefferson, Ga.
Spivey was dominant in the circle, posting a 3-0 record with a 2.21 ERA across six appearances. She did not allow a single walk while striking out 14 batters, providing key innings for the Lions throughout the week.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Mandi Peretti, Piedmont
Outfielder | Freshman | Cumming, Ga.
Peretti showcased her offensive prowess at the Diamond Classic in Raleigh, hitting safely in all six games while batting .520 (13-for-25). She scored nine runs and was a perfect 11-for-11 in stolen bases. The freshman recorded four multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit performances, as she continued her strong debut season.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
