ATLANTA, Ga. (March 30, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Sydney Dickinson (Maryville) was named
Player of the Week, while
Macy Funderburk (Belhaven) earned
Pitcher of the Week honors.
Anslee Saunchegraw (Piedmont) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sydney Dickinson, Maryville
Pitcher/Utility | Sophomore | Nolensville, Tenn.
Sydney Dickinson delivered an explosive offensive performance in Maryville’s series against Wesleyan, leading the Scots at the plate across two games. The sophomore went 6-for-9, scoring four runs while driving in eight RBI. Dickinson’s week was highlighted by both a home run and a grand slam.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Macy Funderburk, Belhaven

Macy Funderburk was dominant out of the bullpen in Belhaven’s series against Covenant, earning two wins in relief appearances. The junior combined for 8.2 shutout innings, holding opponents to a .071 batting average, allowing just two hits, and striking out 10 while walking none.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Anslee Saunchegraw, Piedmont
Shortstop | Freshman | Covington, Ga.
Anslee Saunchegraw continued her strong rookie campaign with an all-around offensive performance, batting .583 (7-for-12) on the week. The freshman recorded a double, triple, and home run while driving in five runs and scoring six times. She also showcased her speed on the bases, going a perfect 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts to round out a split week for the Lions.

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
