ATLANTA, Ga. (March 18, 2025) - Ben Onufrock (Covenant) was Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, while Horacio Rodriguez (Piedmont) earned this week’s Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
The duo, Ben Onufrock and Caleb Domkowski (Covenant) was named Men’s Doubles Team of the Week.
 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ben Onufrock, Covenant

Onufrock delivered a flawless week at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions, going 3-0 in both as Covenant secured three dominant victories. He won all three singles matches over Central, Ursinus, and Central’s top players. In doubles, he partnered with Caleb Domkowski for three convincing wins, dropping just five total games across the matches.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Horacio Rodriguez, Piedmont
Freshman  |  Cumming, Ga.
 
Rodriguez made an impact for the Lions, finishing the week 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles. He won both of his singles matches in dominant fashion, including an 8-0 win at No. 2 singles and a perfect 6-0, 6-0 performance at No. 6 singles against Millsaps. In doubles, he teamed with Artiom Anzhilov for a 6-0 victory at No. 3 against King's College. The Lions finished the week with a 3-1 team record.
 
DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – Ben Onufrock/Caleb Domkowski, Covenant
Junior/Sophomore | Woodstock, Ga./Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.
 
Onufrock and Domkowski dominated at No. 1 doubles, going 3-0 to help Covenant to a perfect week. The duo won 6-2 against Millsaps and Ursinus before finishing the week with a commanding 6-1 victory over Central. Their performances set the tone for the Scots' strong showing in Orlando.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
