ATLANTA, Ga. (October 26, 2026) – Cali Sandhoff (Covenant) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week, while Henley Gentry (Covenant) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
Julia Damico (LaGrange) was selected as Setter of the Week, alongside Evy Hammer (Covenant) who was tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Cali Sandhoff, Covenant

Sandhoff delivered an all-around week for Covenant, highlighted by a 12-kill, 26-assist, 10-dig performance against Piedmont that tied the program record for career triple-doubles. She finished the week with 71 assists, 29 kills on a .393 hitting percentage, 17 digs, seven service aces alongside seven total blocks, averaging 5.46 assists and 3.08 points per set.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Henley Gentry, Covenant
Defensive Specialist/Libero |  Sophomore  |  Arlington, Texas.
 
Gentry anchored Covenant’s back row during a perfect 4-0 week, leading the Scots with 61 digs and averaging 4.69 digs per set. She recorded a week-high 22 digs against Piedmont and also added 10 assists and five service aces in wins over Piedmont, Regent, Warren Wilson and Agnes Scott.
 
SETTER OF THE WEEK – Julia Damico, LaGrange

Damico directed LaGrange to a 3-0 week as the Panthers swept Huntingdon, Piedmont and Paine. She averaged 6.88 assists per set across nine sets while adding four service aces and 3.13 digs per set. Damico is averaging 5.51 assists per set this season, ranking third in the CCS.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Evy Hammer, Covenant

Hammer helped guide Covenant’s offense with 62 assists during the Scots’ unbeaten week, including 21 against Piedmont. She also contributed seven digs and three kills as Covenant collected four victories.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
