Week 5: CCS Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (October 5, 2026) – Sarah Vannoy (Covenant) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, while Beth Ragain (Asbury) earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Sarah Vannoy, Covenant
Sophomore  |  Woodinville, Wash.
 
Vannoy turned in a personal-best performance at the Mountain Goat Invitational, finishing fourth overall among 73 runners with a 6K time of 24:00.3. Her top five finish helped lead Covenant to a second-place team result in the nine-team field.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Beth Ragain, Asbury
Freshman  |  Kailua, Hawaii
 
Ragain turned in a strong performance at the Louisville Classic, finishing 33rd overall among 203 runners with a 5K time of 20:17.9. Her effort helped Asbury secure a sixth-place team finish in the 32-team field.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
