Emma Le Duc (Asbury) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Cross Country
Runner of the Week, while
Beth Ragain (Asbury) earned
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Emma Le Duc, Asbury
Sophomore | Beaver Dam, Wisc.
Le Duc captured the individual title at the Spoon Fiercely Faithful Meet, winning the 6K in 24:21.96 among a field of 23 runners. The victory marked the first collegiate win of her career in either cross country or track, while her time improved on her previous 6K personal best of 24:59 and now ranks fourth-fastest in Asbury program history. Her performance also helped lead the Eagles to the team title.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Beth Ragain, Asbury
Freshman | Kailua, Hawaii
Ragain turned in a top-five finish at the Spoon Fiercely Faithful Meet, placing fourth overall among 23 runners with a 6K time of 25:09.37. Her performance contributed to Asbury’s first-place team finish in the four-team field.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
