ATLANTA, Ga. (March 2, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
 
Sydney Dickinson (Maryville) was named Player of the Week, while teammate, Tia Stewart (Maryville) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
 
Elyanna Rogers (Asbury) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sydney Dickinson, Maryville

Sydney Dickinson delivered a complete performance to lead Maryville to a 4–0 weekend against LaGrange and Sewanee, contributing both at the plate and in the circle. Offensively, Dickinson went 6-for-11, batting .545 with two doubles and a two-run home run while scoring six runs. She posted a .909 slugging percentage and a .615 on-base percentage during the stretch. In addition to her offensive production, Dickinson earned two wins in the circle, facing 36 batters, striking out 15, and allowing just four hits.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Tia Stewart, Maryville

Tia Stewart turned in a dominant weekend performance in the circle, helping Maryville secure two key victories against LaGrange and Sewanee. The junior tossed 13 innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out 11 batters and issuing only one walk. Stewart faced 51 batters, held opponents to a .200 batting average, and finished the week with a 0.54 ERA. Her command and efficiency played a pivotal role in the Scots’ 4–0 showing.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Elyanna Rogers, Asbury

Freshman Elyanna Rogers sparked Asbury’s offense during a 5–1 week, delivering consistent production across six games. Rogers went 8-for-18 at the plate (.444), scoring seven runs, driving in four, and adding two doubles and four stolen bases. She also recorded two multi-hit performances of three or more hits, helping ignite the Eagles’ lineup. Rogers currently ranks second on the team in both batting average (.450) and on-base percentage (.500).

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
