ATLANTA, Ga. (March 30, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its baseball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Jack Ryan (Piedmont) was named
Player of the Week, while
Andrew Misirly (Piedmont) earned
Pitcher of the Week honors.
Titus Torbett (Maryville) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jack Ryan, Piedmont
Infielder | Sophomore | Peachtree City, Ga.
Jack Ryan powered Piedmont’s offense in a statement series against No. 6 Belhaven, helping lead the Lions to a weekend sweep. The sophomore recorded five hits in 13 at-bats, highlighted by a grand slam that helped seal the series. Ryan drove in nine runs across the weekend while posting a .417 / .750 / .429 slash line. He also added a double and contributed defensively with a perfect fielding percentage.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Andrew Misirly, Piedmont
Pitcher | Sophomore | Roswell, Ga.
Andrew Misirly delivered a strong outing on the mound against No. 6 Belhaven, tossing seven innings of one-run baseball to earn the win. The sophomore limited the Blazers to five hits while holding them to a .192 batting average, striking out three and walking two.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Titus Torbett, Maryville
Pitcher | Freshman | Chattanooga, Tenn.
Titus Torbett continued his impressive freshman campaign with a complete-game effort against a top-25 opponent. The left-hander went all seven innings, allowing just one run while striking out three and issuing two walks. Torbett’s performance helped power Maryville to a 4-0 week for the Scots, which included a win over Berry and a series sweep of ETBU.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
