Colin Vogel (Piedmont) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer
Offensive Player of the Week, while
Mykal Manfred (Maryville) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
Courtland Williams (Belhaven) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Colin Vogel, Piedmont

Vogel has one goal and two assists including the assist on the game winning goal to take down Belhaven.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Mykal Manfred, Maryville
Goalkeeper | Senior | Gallatin, Tenn.
Manfred recorded two shutouts in two starts. The senior goalkeeper recorded 17 saves across two games, including a season-high of 11 against Birmingham-Southern.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Courtland Williams, Belhaven
Forward | Freshman | Lafayette, LA
Williams scored in both matches across a 1-1 week for the Blazers including a brace in 5-0 win over rival Millsaps.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Berea College, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
