ATLANTA, Ga. (October 22, 2024) – Robel Teshome (LaGrange) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Ciaran Colvin (Belhaven) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Brady Hammer (Maryville) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Robel Teshome, LaGrange

Robel Teshome had an impressive week for the LaGrange Panthers, showcasing his offensive prowess in two key matches. In a decisive 4-1 victory over Huntingdon, Teshome led the charge with a standout performance, contributing a goal and two assists for a total of three points. Additionally, he played a crucial role in a challenging 2-2 draw against Middle Georgia State
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ciaran Colvin, Belhaven

Ciaran Colvin earned a clean sheet this past week, helping the team secure two victories, including a standout shutout win over Piedmont. Colvin played the full 180 minutes in both matches, and recorded two shots during the week, with one on target in the victory over Pensacola Christian.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Brady Hammer, Maryville

Brady Hammer made a significant impact for Maryville, averaging an impressive 82.5 minutes on the field. Hammer scored the equalizing goal in a tense 1-1 draw against first-place Covenant, converting his only shot of the match. He then followed up with a dominant performance against Huntingdon, leading the Scots with five shot attempts, all of which were on target, in a 2-1 victory.
