ATLANTA, Ga. (March 12, 2024) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its women’s track and field weekly honors, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Rhiannon Sevier (Huntingdon) was named this week’s Women’s
Track Athlete of the Week, alongside
Emma Christensen (Covenant) who collected this week’s Women’s
Field Athlete of the Week honor.
Evangelia Berry (Covenant) was also tabbed
Track Rookie of the Week and
Trinity Treadway (Huntingdon) earned
Field Rookie of the Week.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Rhiannon Sevier, Huntingdon
Junior | Smith Station, Ala.
Sevier finished in 7th place in the 400-meter hurdles. The Alabama native was also a member of the ninth place 4x400m team. Sevier is currently ranked sixth in the region in the 400-meter hurdle race.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Emma Christensen, Covenant
Junior | Watertown, Tenn.
Christensen set a school record in the high jump with a jump of 1.53 meters. The junior is currently ranked third in the region.
TRACK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Evangelia Berry, Covenant
Freshman | Morgantown, W. Va.
Berry finished sixth in the 5,000-meter run at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge posting a time of 19:37.39. The West Virginia native is currently ranked fifth in the region.
FIELD ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Trinity Treadway, Huntingdon
Freshman | Destin, Fla.
Treadway had a three-event day in Atlanta with two top-15 finishes. The Florida native set three new personal records.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Berea College, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
