ATLANTA, Ga. (October 20, 2025) –
Isabelle VandeSchraaf (Asbury) and
Cali Sandhoff (Covenant) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Volleyball
Co-Players of the Week, while
Sarah Jennings (Covenant) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
Alex Krabs (LaGrange) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Isabelle VandeSchraaf, Asbury
Outside Hitter | Sophomore | Germantown Hills, Ill.
Asbury’s Isabelle VandeSchraaf powered the Eagles to a 3-0 week, posting 40 kills and 29 digs across 10 sets. The sophomore standout averaged 4.44 kills and 3.22 digs per set while hitting .292 on the week, recording two double-doubles in the process. VandeSchraaf currently ranks second in the CCS for kills per set averaging 4.12 kills per set.
CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Cali Sandhoff, Covenant
Setter/Middle Hitter | Junior | Lookout Mountain, Ga.
Covenant’s Sandhoff delivered an all-around performance this week, recording two triple-doubles in four-set wins over Maryville and Belhaven as the Scots went 3-0 overall. She totaled 26 kills while hitting .275, along with 44 assists, 35 digs, seven service aces, and three total blocks. On the week, she averaged 2.36 kills, 4.00 assists, and 3.18 digs per set.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sarah Jennings, Covenant
Defensive Specialist | Junior | Clarkesville, Ga.
Covenant’s Sarah Jennings anchored the Scots’ back row in a 3-0 week, collecting 53 digs (averaging 4.82 per set) along with 11 assists and eight service aces. She delivered a season-high 22 digs and five aces in a key win over Maryville while adding seven assists in the same match. Jennings currently ranks second in the league for service aces averaging .60 aces per set.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Alex Krabs, LaGrange
Outside Hitter | Freshman | Boynton Beach, Fla.
LaGrange freshman Alex Krabs made her presence felt once again, averaging 5.75 kills per set and hitting .211 across eight sets for the week. She recorded a career-high 27 kills and five blocks in the Panthers’ thrilling comeback victory over Belhaven, adding 1.88 digs per set on the week. Krabs continues to rank among the conference’s top hitters, currently sitting third in kills per set.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
