Player of the Week, while teammate,
Katherine Nova (Asbury) earned this week’s Women’s Tennis
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.

Women’s Doubles Team of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ariadna Zegarra, Asbury
Junior | Lima, Peru
Ariadna Zegarra delivered an outstanding week for Asbury, going undefeated in singles (3-0) and doubles (3-0) to help lead the Eagles to a 3-1 record. Competing at No. 2 singles, she secured straight-set victories against Coe College (6-3, 6-1) and College of Saint Mary (6-0, 6-0), while battling through a tiebreaker win against DePauw University (6-3, 7-6, 10-6). In doubles play, she partnered with Katherine Nova at No. 1 to earn wins over Coe (6-2) and DePauw (6-3) before teaming up with Malory Watkins at the No. 2 spot for a dominant 6-1 victory against College of Saint Mary.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Katherine Nova, Asbury

Katherine Nova continued her stellar freshman campaign with an unbeaten week in both singles (3-0) and doubles (4-0). Competing at No. 1 singles, she cruised to commanding victories, dropping just one game across three matches, including a pair of 6-0, 6-0 shutouts against College of Saint Mary and DePauw. In doubles, she teamed with Zegarra for key wins over Coe (6-2) and DePauw (6-3), partnered with Martina Paillet for a 6-1 win against College of Saint Mary, and capped the week with a flawless 6-0 win alongside Olivia Rogowski against Agnes Scott.
DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – Sarah Row/Jordan Ballard, Piedmont
Juniors | Marietta, Ga./ Canton, Ga.
Ballard and Row played a pivotal role in Piedmont’s 7-0 victory over Maryville, clinching the doubles point with a 6-2 win over Shwaiko and Kondolios at No. 1 doubles. Their strong performance set the tone for the Lions, who swept the match to improve their record.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports.
