Week 8: CCS Men’s Golfers of the Week
ATLANTA, Ga. (March 4, 2026) - Jack Burr (Huntingdon) was named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Golfer of the Week, while Braden Kiley (Piedmont) earned this week’s Men’s Golf Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.
 
GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Jack Burr, Huntingdon

Jack Burr turned in an outstanding performance at the Savannah Invitational (March 2–3), helping lead Huntingdon to its third tournament victory of the season. Burr posted three under-par rounds to finish near the top of the leaderboard, carding rounds of 70 (-2), 69 (-3), and 67 (-5) to finish with a three-round total of 206 (-10), placing second individually in the field. His consistent play throughout the tournament anchored the Hawks as they secured their third team title.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Braden Kiley, Piedmont
Freshman  |  Bedford, N.H.
 
Freshman Braden Kiley delivered a strong performance at the Savannah Invitational (March 2–3), finishing fifth in a field of 100 golfers. Kiley posted rounds of 70, 69, and 71 to finish with a three-round total of 210 (-6). The tournament marked the first under-par rounds of Kiley’s collegiate career, highlighted by a career-best 3-under 69 in the second round. The Lions finished tied for seventh in a 20-team field.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
