ATLANTA, Ga. (March 9, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Anslee Sauchegraw (Piedmont) was named
Player of the Week, while
Allie Roberts (Huntingdon) earned
Pitcher of the Week honors.
Julie Mavity (Covenant) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Anslee Sauchegraw, Piedmont
Infielder | Freshman | Covington, Ga.
Freshman Anslee Sauchegraw delivered a remarkable offensive week, powering Piedmont’s lineup with six home runs and 16 RBI. Sauchegraw hit .583 (14-for-24) at the plate while posting an impressive 1.417 slugging percentage and .643 on-base percentage. She recorded at least three RBI in four different games and produced two multi-home run performances during the stretch. Sauchegraw also added two doubles and five walks while striking out just once. She finished the week with nine runs scored and contributed defensively with 13 putouts and 19 assists in the field.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Allie Roberts, Huntingdon

Allie Roberts was dominant in the circle as No. 14 Huntingdon posted a strong showing at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Roberts earned five wins across five appearances, helping guide the Hawks to a 5–1 record against a competitive field that included a victory over No. 4 St. Mary’s. The junior logged 18.2 innings with a 1.12 ERA, striking out 25 batters while allowing just 12 hits and holding opponents to a .179 batting average. Roberts also reached a major milestone during the tournament, surpassing the 300-strikeout mark for her career.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Julie Mavity, Covenant
Infielder | Freshman | Ider, Ala.
Julie Mavity continued her strong start to the season, batting .571 (8-for-14) to help Covenant to a 3–1 week. The freshman tallied two doubles and two triples while scoring six runs and driving in three. Mavity delivered the decisive moment of the week with the game-winning RBI against Salem on Saturday. She finished with a 1.000 slugging percentage and .625 on-base percentage while also contributing defensively with eight putouts and two assists in the field.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
