ATLANTA, Ga. (October 14, 2024) – Izzy Valldeperas (Huntingdon) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week, while Riley McChord (Asbury) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
Isabelle VandeSchraaf (Asbury) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Izzy Valldeperas, Huntingdon

Izzy Valldeperas had a standout week for Huntingdon, posting 39 kills, 21 digs, and a trio of blocks and service aces across three matches in CCS play.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Riley McChord, Asbury

Riley McChord continued to anchor Asbury’s defense as the team extended its conference-winning streak to 8-0. McChord recorded 52 digs over three matches, helping Asbury go 3-0 on the week.

Isabelle VandeSchraaf had another impressive week for Asbury, racking up 56 kills and 34 digs during the team’s 3-0 run in CCS play. The freshman hitter’s all-around contributions continue to fuel Asbury’s strong 8-0 start in conference play.
