ATLANTA, Ga. (October 27, 2025) – Cali Sandhoff (Covenant) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week, while Julia Damico (LaGrange) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
Alex Krabs (LaGrange) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Cali Sandhoff, Covenant

Covenant junior Cali Sandhoff’s all-around performance anchored both the offense and defense to lead the Scots to a 3–2 record on the week, earning wins over Spalding, Piedmont, and LaGrange. Sandhoff recorded three double-doubles across five matches, finishing with 49 digs (2.57 per set), 74 assists (3.89 per set), 33 kills (1.70 per set), and 13 total blocks. 
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Julia Damico, LaGrange

LaGrange sophomore setter Julia Damico reached the 1,000 career assists milestone last week while delivering an impressive defensive effort for the Panthers. Damico totaled 62 digs (4.43 per set) and 69 assists (4.93 per set) over 14 sets, as LaGrange posted a 2–1 record with conference wins over Huntingdon and Piedmont.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Alex Krabs, LaGrange

LaGrange freshman outside hitter Alex Krabs continued her breakout season, guiding the Panthers to victories over Huntingdon and Piedmont. Krabs collected a total of 44 kills (3.14 per set) and 46 digs (3.28 per set) across 14 sets, including four blocks and two service aces. The rookie standout posted two double-doubles on the week and currently ranks third in the CCS with 2.96 kills per set.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
