Week 10: CCS Men’s Basketball Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (January 19, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its Men’s Basketball Players of the Week.
 
Chase Morgan (Maryville) was named Player of the Week, while Skyler Stovall (Huntingdon) earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Chase Morgan, Maryville

Chase Morgan turned in a standout week to lead Maryville to a perfect 3–0 showing against Asbury, Piedmont, and Belhaven. The senior forward was a consistent force on both ends of the floor, totaling 57 points and 26 rebounds over the three-game stretch. Morgan’s week was highlighted by a game-leading 33-point performance against Belhaven, while he also contributed six steals, five assists, and five blocks across the slate. His all-around production earned him recognition on the Small College Basketball Bevo Francis Top 100 Watchlist.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK– Skyler Stovall, Huntingdon

Freshman guard Skyler Stovall provided a key spark off the bench in Huntingdon’s home victory over LaGrange. Stovall scored a career-high 13 points, delivering timely scoring in the second half to help fuel the Hawks’ comeback effort. He also added five rebounds in the win, contributing on the glass while helping secure the conference victory.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
