Week 15: CCS Women’s Basketball Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (February 23, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its Women’s Basketball Players of the Week.
 
Katelyn Coleman (Belhaven) was named Player of the Week, while Adazhah Burrell (LaGrange) earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Katelyn Coleman, Belhaven

Katelyn Coleman powered Belhaven to a 3–0 week in conference play, helping the Blazers secure the No. 2 seed in the upcoming tournament. The senior forward logged 74 minutes across the three contests which was highlighted by her 24-point, 14-rebound double-double in a key win over Huntingdon. For the week, she totaled 43 points on 19-of-35 shooting from the field while adding 20 rebounds, seven assists, six steals, and four blocks.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK– Adazhah Burrell, LaGrange

Freshman guard Adazhah Burrell turned in a strong all-around week for LaGrange, contributing across multiple categories in 66 minutes of action. Burrell totaled 33 points while shooting 11-of-30 from the field and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line. She was also active on the glass and defensively, pulling down 20 rebounds to go along with six assists and six steals, securing the Panthers’ top spot in tournament play.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
