Caroline Morrison (Piedmont) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Tennis
Player of the Week, while
Maisie Tanchanpongs (Covenant) earned this week’s Women’s Tennis
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
The duo of
Kaleigh Stallworth and
Ella Kate Canaday (Piedmont) was named Women’s
Doubles Team of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Caroline Morrison, Piedmont
Sophomore | Melbourne, Fla.
Caroline Morrison delivered an undefeated week in singles play, going 3-0 at the No. 3 position as Piedmont posted a 3-0 team record. She opened with a 6-2, retired win over LaGrange before earning a 7-6, 6-3 victory against Maryville. Morrison capped the week with a three-set battle against Asbury’s Alexandra Garcia, securing the match 6-1, 4-6, 7-5. In doubles, Morrison paired with Sarah Sanabia to go 1-1 at No. 2, highlighted by a 6-1 win over Maryville.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Maisie Tanchanpongs, Covenant

Maisie Tanchanpongs continued her strong freshman campaign with a perfect 2-0 record in both singles and doubles during Covenant’s 2-0 week. In singles, she earned identical 6-1, 6-2 victories against Huntingdon and Belhaven. In doubles, Tanchanpongs secured a 7-5 win at the No. 1 position against Huntingdon and added a default victory against Belhaven.
DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – Kaleigh Stallworth/Ella Kate Canaday, Piedmont

Kaleigh Stallworth and Ella Kate Canaday went a perfect 3-0 at the No. 1 doubles position, leading Piedmont across a 3-0 week. The duo opened with a 6-1 win over LaGrange, followed by a 6-3 victory against Asbury, and closed with a 7-5 result against Maryville.

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports.
