Week 11: CCS Men’s Basketball Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (January 26, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its Men’s Basketball Players of the Week.
 
Logan Patterson (Covenant) was named Player of the Week, while Jett Sutton (Maryville) earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Logan Patterson, Covenant

Logan Patterson paced Covenant’s offense throughout the week, delivering consistent scoring and perimeter efficiency across a three-game stretch. The senior guard averaged 19.7 points per game while connecting on 15-of-32 attempts (46.9%) from beyond the arc. Patterson also contributed to multiple facets, finishing the week with six rebounds, nine assists, six steals, and one block. His season-best performance came in a road win over Bob Jones, where he poured in a season-high 29 points and knocked down several clutch baskets late to help lift the Scots to the victory.
 
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK– Jett Sutton, Maryille

Freshman Jett Sutton turned in his strongest performance of the season, providing an efficient spark for Maryville. Sutton finished with eight points while shooting 60.0 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three-point range. He also contributed across the stat sheet, adding two rebounds, three assists, and two steals in a win over Covenant.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
