Week 9: CCS Men’s Tennis Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (April 7, 2026) - Ben Moore (Asbury) was selected as the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, while Lincoln Shine (Covenant) was Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Week.
 
The duo of Caleb Domkowski and Ben Onufrock (Covenant) was named Men’s Doubles Team of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ben Moore, Asbury

Ben Moore led Asbury to a 4-0 team victory over Belhaven with strong performances in both singles and doubles play. Competing at the top of the lineup, Moore secured a straight-set win at No. 1 singles, defeating Belhaven’s Anugonda 7-5, 6-3. He also paired with Andres Caceres at No. 2 doubles to earn a dominant 6-0 victory, helping the Eagles sweep the doubles point.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Lincoln Shine, Covenant

Lincoln Shine continued his strong freshman campaign with a 1-0 record in singles play, at the No. 5 position. Shine earned a hard-fought straight-set victory over Maryville’s Romano, winning 7-6 (3), 7-5. His efforts helped Covenant secure a pair of conference victories during a 2-0 week.
 
DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – Caleb Domkowski/Ben Onufrock, Covenant
Junior/Senior | Indian Harbour Beach, Fla./Woodstock, Ga.
 
Caleb Domkowski and Ben Onufrock anchored Covenant’s doubles lineup with a perfect 2-0 week. The duo earned a 6-3 victory over Maryville’s top pair before following with a convincing 6-1 win against LaGrange. Their strong play at the net helped Covenant to post back-to-back 6-1 team wins in conference play.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
