ATLANTA, Ga. (February 23, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its Men’s Basketball Players of the Week.
Chase Morgan (Maryville) was named
Player of the Week, while
Lual Ayiei (Asbury) earned
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Chase Morgan, Maryville

Chase Morgan delivered another strong week to help Maryville secure the top seed in the CCS Tournament, as the Scots extended their conference record to a perfect 12–0 with wins over Asbury and Piedmont. The senior forward totaled 48 points across the two-game stretch while logging 64 minutes of action. Morgan shot 18-of-34 from the field, including 3-of-4 from three-point range, and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line. He added 13 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and two blocks as Maryville completed an undefeated run through conference play.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK– Lual Ayiei, Asbury

Freshman center Lual Ayiei continued his strong late-season play, anchoring the paint for Asbury in two conference contests. Averaging 34 minutes per game, Ayiei totaled 21 points and 26 rebounds while shooting 47 percent from the field. He was particularly dominant defensively, recording 11 blocks on the week, including an eight-block performance at Maryville. Ayiei also pulled down 16 rebounds against LaGrange securing the Eagles No. 5 spot in the tournament.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
