ATLANTA, Ga. (April 2?8, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on ?T?uesday.
 
Maryanna Guy (Belhaven) was named Player of the Week, while teammate, Macy Funderburk (Belhaven) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
 
AR Sharp (Belhaven) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Maryanna Guy, Belhaven

During Belhaven’s 4-0 week, Maryanna Guy delivered at the plate with four extra-base hits in limited opportunities. The junior went 4-for-7 (.571), recording two doubles, a triple, and a home run while driving in seven runs. She also drew a walk and finished with a 1.571 slugging percentage.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Macy Funderburk, Belhaven

Macy Funderburk was dominant out of the bullpen, earning two wins in relief against Asbury and LaGrange. The junior threw 8.2 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out 12 and issuing one walk. She held opposing hitters to a .077 batting average across 29 batters faced.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – AR Sharp, Belhaven

AR Sharp made two starts in Belhaven’s 4-0 week, combining for 6.3 scoreless innings in the circle. The freshman allowed six hits while striking out seven and walking two, earning wins against Asbury and LaGrange. Sharp faced 28 batters across her outings and recorded a 0.00 ERA on the week, holding teams to a combined .240 batting average.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
