ATLANTA, Ga. (April 20, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Kylie Stephens (Huntingdon) was named
Player of the Week, while
Addison Gaines (Huntingdon) earned
Pitcher of the Week honors.
Ellie Lenz (Piedmont) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kylie Stephens, Huntingdon
Outfielder | Junior | Marianna, Fla.
Kylie Stephens delivered an impactful week at the plate, helping Huntingdon to a 4-0 record with sweeps over LaGrange and Asbury. The junior batted .571 (8-for-14), collecting three doubles while driving in five runs and scoring four times. She also added two stolen bases, contributing to the Hawks’ offensive production throughout the week.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Addison Gaines, Huntingdon

Addison Gaines continued her strong season with two wins in the circle, leading Huntingdon through a 4-0 week. The sophomore threw 11.0 innings across two appearances, allowing just one earned run on four hits while striking out nine and holding opponents to a .111 batting average. Her week included a five-inning no-hitter against Asbury, where she struck out six, followed by a performance against LaGrange in which she allowed just one run on four hits.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Ellie Lenz, Piedmont

Ellie Lenz turned in a productive week at the plate for Piedmont, batting .400 (4-for-10) across four games. The freshman recorded two doubles and a triple, driving in two runs while scoring three times. She also drew three walks to post a .538 on-base percentage and finished the week with a perfect fielding percentage in her defensive opportunities.

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
